I had a Jane three in one travel system, which was a frame with pushchair seat, carrycot and car seat. My baby slept in the carrycot up until she was about three months old, but I didn't have a moses basket. I think if you have a moses basket I wouldn't bother with the expense of a carrycot too.

I too live in the countryside and have the Quinny Buzz and I love it. I did buy the carrycot and used it a lot when LO was smaller. He's now nearly 5 months and I've been using the pushchair seat for a while now. The newer Buzz's are suitable from birth so the carrycot is not strictly necessary but I really wanted a proper pram. We also used the carry cot as a travel cot until just recently when it started to look a bit cramped. My son looked very comfy in it and always slept well. It is extra expense but we plan to use it for more than one baby - the whole system seems quite robust and looks like it will last.
One negative point regarding this pushchair is that the wheels are wide apart making it difficult to get through some spaces.
I'm very happy with the whole system and would recommend it.
Hope this helps.

I live in the country side in the UK also, can I recommend that your get the mountain buggy instead?? A friend of mine has the Quinny Buzz and it breaks all the time. I have a mountain buggy and haven't ever had a problem (except a flat tyre, but that just happens). Look in to them anyway, I will say though that in 2010 they Mountain buggy were taken over, so get the 2009 edition if you can.

I never had a carry cot and I never bothered with the car seat travel system thing, personally I think it is easier to just pick your LO out of a car seat and put them into the pram/pushchair, that little bit of movement is good for them as it works their muscles, and most babies will fall back to sleep as soon as you start pushing them around anyway.

You only need a carry cot if the pushchair isn't suitable from birth, I think the Quinny is and know the mountain buggy is.

Its not such much littlewoods that are the problem, its the manufacturer who makes the prams and yes i've known a lot of people who have had problems with Quinny prams, there wheels are really unstable and come off easily. The best pushchairs around are mclarens or mama and papas, there built to last and restand a lot of battering, quinnys are not! take a look at there buggies before buying the quinny.

The Bugaboo Cameleon comes out as “best buggy” on Mumsnet with a rating of 8.1 out of 10 and reviewers gushing praise. Celebrities like Stella McCartney adore their Bugaboos.

It took us lots of discussion and shopping around to find the perfect pushchair. Like you we had our differences, he really wanted a Quinny
but I wanted a Silver Cross. We discussed what each of us wanted in a pushchair and then found one that matched that!
He wanted something you can clip a car seat onto, and something that looked cool and not girly! I wanted something light weight and easy to fold/change position.

We got our pushchair when I was about 30 weeks, we went for the Obaby Zezu 3 in 1 in black (we don't no the sex so thought we would accessorise with a bright pink or blue blanket!)
we are both chuffed and it ticked all of our boxes!
I think it depends what pushchair you get as to weather or not you get it in pink, some look real chavy but some look gorgeous!

Good Luck and enjoy pram shopping!!

hiya, ive got the mamas and papas 8 in 1 ultimo thing, its mega good like I canna wait until i get to use it properly lol the pram, buggie and car seat come with it and it can be used as a high chair and carry cot aswell. The car seat slots into the chassis aswell, which would be so handy for nipping round the town.

PINK ROCKS! No its not chavy, only if it had adidas or nike written all over it would it be chavy lol :P XXX

How did your scan go btw? Please tell me all!! XXXX

Edit - I got mine at 13 weeks, but it was on offer so decided to risk it and buy it, really glad I did not, IT HAS POLKA DOTS ON IT!! :D :D :D
