I am considering whether to buy one or not and can’t make up my mind!. Our baby is due in November, I live in the countryside in the UK so will not be pushing her around town all that much – plus it is going to be winter and cold and probably raining! I am planning to get the Quinny Buzz and have a maxi cosi to click into the chassis when we pop into town, and a moses basket at home. I canm’t work out if I need to get a pram carry cot as well. Did you buy one and did you find it useful?

I bought I obaby zezu, The pram converted to a buggy ( all in one piece ) so all I had to buy was the matching carseat.

Most of the time she was in the carseat, by about 4 months, she was in the buggy part.

I bought this for the specific reason so that I didnt have to buy everything seperate.

If I was to do it all again ,I would do the same…buy it all included, you will be surprised how quick they out grow things

get a cheaper one that’ll last longer, had one of those and it broke within a week

Hey ladies!

I’m only 21 weeks so I have a while to decide yet – However me and Nick can’t agree on ANY pushchairs lol.

I like the modern ones, he hates them.. (You know like Quinny’s etc)
We had the 3d silver cross system with Harry, and don’t want it again.

What pushchair do you have? or intend to buy? How many weeks where you when you bought it?xxx

We quite like the Loola bebe comfort, however are undecided – We like it in pink however are wondering if it’s chavvy to get a pink pram?

I got the Graco Elyse Travel System. Comes with the stroller and car seat. Heres A Pic of it.

I think i bought that at about 34-35 weeks. I love it!!! Its lightweight however works great, I cant wait to put my lil girl in it!

I need to get some new wheels for my daughter!
I currently have the Silver Cross 3d Pram System however it’s really big and hefty and not really ideal anymore. I’m looking for something lightweight, can be 3 or 4 wheeled. Not big on coloured pushchairs as if I have another I’d want to use it again so needs to be unisex. I love the Quinny 3 wheelers however the handles don’t look high enough as me and my husband are tall, he’s 6ft 3 and I’m 5ft 9.
My daughter is 1 and is big for her age so I want something to bridge the gap between now and when she can walk fully, and I don’t want to spend anything over £120.

in boots they are selling something simmerler to the quinny and you can get it in black the seat has loads of space for a big toddler not sure about the height though there £100

At first I thought a Quinny Speedi (with car seat and carrycot) would suit us as we live in the countryside. Then people said they never used the carrycot, I really looking to simplify, there is a new Britax Baby-Safe Sleeper in the new mothercare catalouge (Ireland) it says you can use it in the car insted of a car seat and then put it on the frame of the Vigour Pushchair (a Three Wheeler) It also says the baby can sleep in it however on the Britax website they don’t recommend you use it instead of a cot. I have a cot, however thought it would be handy to have a carrycot that can go from car to a pram to a bed for overnight trips or at least as a temporary bed for bringing to babysitter for an afternoon. It seems these travel systems that have a car seat carry cot and stroller are so complicated and you’d be moving baby from one thing to the next, and where would you fit everything?? This is my first baby so I haven’t a clue. Any advice out there??
Phil and Teds look good however the extra price is because they expand into a two seater – if you need it. I don’t plan on having another baby. Also I was hoping to get a carrycot that is approved as a ‘car seat’ and a cot for sleeping in., that way you avoid having a traditional car seat until they are about 6 months. You can leave them flat all the time. Anyone buy the Britax Baby Safe Sleeper???
Jane do a Baby Auto carrycot that attached to their 3 wheeler – I don’t know if this has a mattress in it, and so I don’t know if it suitable as an overnighter.

I don’t know about in Ireland, however here in the U.S. our travel systems do not have a carry cot. The car seat has a handle on it, and we use that as a carrier. The carry cot, car seat, and stroller seem like a bit too much for me, too. Look at the link and see if you have some similar travel system strollers in Ireland wihtout the cot.

cant find the pram i want?

ive seen someone on tele with one it kinda looked like a quinny however had 1 single handle bar that came up in the middle and went across both ways. can someone help to where i can find it

Is it a “Stokke” pram? It sounds like it…google Stokke pram in images and see. EDIT….just looked and it looks like the “Stokke xplory”

My 12month daughter will not sit in her pram for longer than 20 mins without having a major tantrum to get out and be carried, i try to leave her aslong as possible like until the crying is unbearable. i have tried toys, snacks, drink.. she is not attatched to anything comferting so i cant try that im just at a lose end now and really need help! i had the silvercross 3d travel system i now have the quinny buzz however no difference has been made. I am only 20 years old and have no help from health visitors so i have to realy on this so all help would be appreciated thank you
I have tried leaving her to cry for upto over an hour however the crying does not ease at all she gets worse it dont affect me her crying cause i have taught her to sleep by leaving her to cry however she is soo good and funny however as soon as she gets in her pram she is a different baby then i see other babys sitting in there prams happy or asleep however my daughter hates it!
i think she is took bit for a carrier isnt she? thank you for you all for your answers i guess i can only let her cry…

Good stout rope which cannot be gummed through and firm knots should work well. If unwilling to take the easy rope route, then you have to learn to let your child cry. By giving in to her you have taught her that if she screams for long enough you will eventually cave to her demands. It’s not easy however it must be done.

Pram/Travel system advice please?

I really don’t know where to start. There are so many pram options to choose from, how do you know which one to go for.

The only thing I have decided on is a Maxi Cosi car seat, I like the idea that you can just click the seat in. As I only have a 2 door car, I think this will make life simpler.

I know I need a pram option as baby needs to lie flat, is it best to get a pushchair with a soft carrycot…i am thinking it may fit in the car easier.

Does someone have any recommendations? I am trying to steer away from the Quinny and Buggaboo’s, they are just way out of my budget.

Any advice from mums would be appreciated.

my niece has recently had a baby .as you have a small car remember not to get a pram that is too big for your boot [i know it sounds obvious however she bought one too big] my nephew has also recently had a baby and he needed a very small car seat/ pram to fit on the bus. he chose a graco. don’t know if that helps
