Question by Amber_Lee: UK Question- Where to get a nice pram online for a baby boy (due January)?
I want to get a pram for my son. He will be born in January and I want to get a good quality pram. Blue or green (not lime green) or aqua. I don’t like the quinny line, hauck or the ‘big wheels at back little wheels at front’ ones.
I really like Emmaljunga prams however can only find cream and black. I love that style, carrycot-four wheels chassis types.
Anyone able to help?
xoxoxo
Thnaks Michelle, I only say UK question coz of the vasty-ness of the internet.
Anyone from anywhere that knows UK sites I’m grateful to hear from, xoxoxo

Q&A: Can you recommend a pram/trolley for newborn?

Question by Peaches: Can you recommend a pram/trolley for newborn?
My daughter is having a baby at beginning of May, she was thinking about the Quinny Buzz however we’ve heard that it is bulky and not very good for getting up kerbs. She wants a carrycot and trolly that is easy to use. She will be using the bus or walking most of the time however will need a carseat for when she goes out with relatives. Any recommendations, thanks

how old can I use my maxicosi seat for my baby?

Question by Lulu Ferrari: how old can I use my maxicosi seat for my baby?
I bought it to go with the Quinny pram however my baby is already 8kgs at 4 months old.
Not sure if they recommend to use the maxi cosi seat till 6months due to the baby’s back still developing or due to weight
How would I find out what Group it is??
It’s Maxi Cosi CabrioFix
I agree I think it’s Group 0 as we had it from birth.
The main reason for asking is not for using it in the car however for using it with the pram – as the Quinny comes with it’s own seat that they say use from 6 months.
And I was wondering if this is to do with weight or because baby’s back is still forming?

I am assuming that it is a group 0+ as it fits on the pram. And I think that the ones that are for groups 0-1 would be too big to fit on the pram. A group 0+ has can take a maximum load of 13kg. I am a little unsure though if you mean have the baby in the car seat attached to the pram or you want to know about it being used in the car.
Some prams are suitable (without the car seat) from birth so you could use it now. Mine had a head hugger in the pushchair so I could use it with my son from birth. If you are talking about having you daughter in the car, then in the UK they must be rear facing for the first 9 months and longer if you can. As I said the car seat is good until your daughter reaches 13kg.
EDIT: Your car seat is a group 0+ and is suitable from birth until 13kg

I think that it would have something to do with her back not being strong enough to support herself in such an up right position, and causing strain in her back muscles however as her car seat will be ok until she is 13kg then it should see her until 6 months.

think about what you do – do you walk alot, catch public transport, drive a car. would you be able to lift it easy, fold it easy, will you have room. and most importantly, – its not design however whats going to last you and be best for baby

Question by ray_nunn: What is the best “baby travel sytsem” that fits into a Toyota Yaris?
We have been to Mothercare and a “Quinny Buzz” seemed to fit the car best. Is there any others that fit ok into a Yaris (pram in boot, and baby seat in back seats). In the new model Yaris you can turn the passenger airbag off however we have a 2004 Yaris and think we cant do this…
Its a 3 dr Yaris by the way

Q&A: Pram needs! Can anyone recommend a good all terrain pram?

Question by Seafret1412: Pram needs! Can someone recommend a good all terrain pram?
Hello,
I had an Urban Detour travel system, when it was all well, it was magnificent – strolling over lumps and bumps as if it were fresh air. Light to push indeed – until, it got punctures, which it frequently did! I am now an expert inner tube fixer, and, believe me, it’s not easy with your baby screaming, in the rain, and you remember you have to wait for the stuff to dry etc.
I really want another pram, a nice light pram to handle, that does not suffer from punctures, however will handle going over sand, hills and rocky roads – can someone recommend a good pram?
I’ve seen the Quinny type prams, with their tiny wheels, I fear they will fair no better than the tiny stroller I bought to fit in the car with the holiday packing. I am wary of pneumatic tyres, I must admit, however if someone can guarantee theirs faired far better than mine, I might just change my mind.
Your pram type advice is truly appreciated!!

I would suggest a First wheels pram however it depnds on the age of the child or the best of the all is a baby jogger that will easy peasly go over sand, gravel with know hassel and if you get a good make the tyres will be fine
