Yes you will need the base if you want to use the car seat in the car. I bought a system that came with everything. I find it more expensive to buy everything separate.

Q&A: Quinny/Maxi Cosi Travel system…Any Good?

Question by GraceRaymond: Quinny/Maxi Cosi Travel system…Any Good?
I’m really considering buying the Quinny/Maxi Cosi Travel system. It comes with Quinny Buzz: Stage 2 seat, Sun Canopy, Raincover, Quinny Buzz Box (Shopping Bag)
Maxi Cosi Car seat (Allows Buzz to become a travel system)
Dreami Carrycot(Allows Buzz to become a Pram)
Footmuff
As this is going to be an expensive choice I thought it would be best to see if someone that has had one before would recommend it. Or did you have any problems with it? Is it worth the money?
Thanks!

It sounds like you have really made up your mind already. I can tell you that if there is time on your hands, you can create a better set and you would be proud of yourself for making your own system. Everyone can be as creative as the famous designers if we color match and use our own hands and heads. You, most likely, will save money too.

Question by xxxblondyxxx: What is the best single buggy to go with a maxi cosi?
i have a quinny zapp already and im buying a maxi cosi, i know they go in this pram however not sure whether they are that sturdy with the zapp, can someone recommend a pram for the maxi cosi, one that is compact as i have a small car at the moment and won’t be changing it for a while. Or would the zapp be ok? thanks

Most of the buggies that go with the Maxi Cosi infant carrier are quite bulky (Bugaboo, Quinny, Icandy etc) however I just used to take the parcel shelf out of my little hatchback to fit the buggy in. I found the infant carrier absolutely fine on the Quinny frame and very easy to fit and remove although mine was a Quinny Buzz I think, I didn’t they fitted on to the Zapp too.

Question by .: whats the best pram for a toddler?
my sons turning one, i sold our big pram and bought a buggy however i absolutely hate it and want a pram again! lol. i walk, in total, about 2 hours a day with it and it needs to be ok on trains…
i was looking at the maxi cosi mura 4 or the quinny buzz 4 – does someone have these prams with a toddler? what are they like?

How old is the child? I wouldn’t advise putting it back into a pram again, because if it’s over the age of 2 it needs to be sitting up, not lying down all the time.
I’m afraid that you may need to just shop around for a buggy that you actually like, it wouldn’t be in the child’s best interests to revert it back to a pram.

Question by moopoppet: Is the Quinny Buzz the best?
I’ve been looking round for a pram and the one that has caught my eye is the Quinny Buzz 3. Has someone else got one? Are they any good? I seem to see them everywhere. I want a pram that’s easy to fold down (which this one is) and that looks nice and modern. I want to use it from birth and i know that you need to also buy the carry cot too. Is it really the best out there?
Yeah i like the dark blue one called Midnight. I’m having a boy. I did think about the red though.

Question by charlie: I am looking to change my pushchair?
I currently have a Silver Cross 3in one system, which I am not happy with, my daughter is only 10 weeks old. I am looking at the New Bugaboo Fly – what does someone else think, it comes out beg of next year. I am looking for just a pushchair and not a pram, so am i right in saying it is the only bugaboo pushchair you can buy without the pram bit. Or may be the quinny, however not so sure on the three wheeler bit – isn’t that a little dated?

Hmmm there have been reports of Quinneys going over – I’d recommend Graco – had about three now and they are all good.

Q&A: Does anybody have a quinny buzz?

Question by Jude’s Mummy: Does anybody have a quinny buzz?
I am after a new pushchair and have been looking at the quinny buzz.
I have a silver cross 3d pram system….biggest waste of money ever!
Is the quinny buzz worth the money in your opinion, the one I have now cost a fortune and was let down by it so dont want to waste such money again.
So, do any of you have experience with the quinny buzz? and if so how did you find it? also what age can they sit in the seat from (dont fancy splashing out on the carry cot too!)
thanks
Hi, Well I bought the whole system and the car seat which came to nearly £400!
My baby out grew the ‘pram/carry cot’ part by 8 weeks old so had to use the pushchair part which he looked lost in and the straps are really high up so they rub his neck. The shopping basket is near impossible to access, the brake comes off really easily, I use public transport alot and as soon as the bus moves the break comes off! The handles are wobbly. So yeh, all in all not a great pram, I have spoken to other people who bought it and they have similar views. Also the car seat is huge! and doesn’t fit in 50% of cars as the seat belts aren’t long enough and when put on the pushchair makes the pushchair so big its hard to manoeuvre. Id look into it a bit more before you buy.
