What Quinny do I have?

Question by Arlen: What Quinny do I have?
I’m trying to find out what type of Quinny pushchair I have. It’s a very old model since I got it second hand. It has 4 big wheels and can be converted between pushchair and pram. I think this model is at least 5 years old. How do I find out what model it is? Are there model numbers printed on Quinny’s and where would I find it? Are there also places where I can find spare parts?
thanks in advance
I have already checked Ebay and the Quinny website that’s why I posted a question here.

Have you checked their website? Or maybe Ebay? It may sound daft however if you look at all the Quinny models on Ebay one may match yours so you can see what it is called. Ebay is also probably the best place to get spare parts.

Question by Mandamoo: Help choosing Pushchair. Quinny? What age groups?
Hi guys, I have been to Babies are Us today and have been thinking about puschairs and prams. We are planning on spending the £190 maternity grant on our pushchair.
Having a little girl due 20th October. Ideally I want a puschair facing towards me and have had a good luck. I like the idea of the Quinny Zapp and then buyin gthe Cabriofix car seat to make it into a from birth travel system. I am hearing mix reviews about this, so would really like peoples advice/opinions and personal experiences.
Thanks very much
Mand

How long is safe to keep a newborn baby in a carryable car seat?

Question by Help Me Out: How long is safe to keep a newborn baby in a carryable car seat?
We are thinking about getting a Quinny Buzz as our pram/car seat/ pram system for ur baby due later this year. We want to avoid a traditional pram as we think baby will generally be in and out of the car and so a frame/chassis where we can pop the car seat onto to be mobile will be the best option. Is this safe for baby as I have always heard that newborns need to be laid flat. Are Quinny Buzz’s the best for this scenario?
By length of time, I mean, One hur 2 hours etc. I am thinking that if baby is out with us all day then it will be in the car seat in the car then on the frame/chassis as a pushchair type set up then back into the car.

Dont leave baby in a car seat too long, they need to lie down and stretch out

Question by Jade C: Quinny Buzz 3 or Silver Cross Linear Sleep over?
im looking for a pram for my first child, i drive a lot and so will need a travel system. I am stuck as to which one to choose from the Quinny Buzz 3 and Silver Cross Linear Sleep over > i like them both however wanted to know your views if you have either of the aforementioned prams? xx

I haven’t bought my travel system yet however boy have I been doing some research!
Personally; out of the 2 you’ve mentioned; i’d choose the Quinny Buzz.
My reasons would be because the Quinny can fold down smaller than the Silver Cross and, to be fair, the Quinny isn’t the smallest travel system out there when folded * however * it’s wheels are quick release and therefore pop of easily to help make it that bit more compact.
Also; The Maxi Cosi cabriofix car seat which attaches onto the Quinny is Isofix compatible – It doesn’t have to be if you don’t want the extra expense of the Isofix base however – you can still simply belt it into your car. The Silver Cross Ventura car seat is not Isofix at all, it can only be belted in.
This is the main reason that Silver Cross was struck off my list!

Q&A: Is it ok for baby to sleep in pram?(2008 model quinny buzz)?

Question by MsPen: Is it ok for baby to sleep in pram?(2008 model quinny buzz)?
We have the 2008 model of the quinny buzz which is suitable from birth (without the need for an additional carrycot like before).
When baby is still small enough we will use the moses basket and take it with us when we go away however we’d rather avoid the cost of an additional travel cot and especially the problem of where to put the thing in our tiny house!
Would it be ok to let baby sleep in the pram overnight on the odd occasion? See the link below to get an idea of how the pram works.
http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B0012EI91K/sr=1-14/qid=1201799605/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=42764041&mcb=core
If not how about the idea of buying the quinny carrycot as a full time moses basket? Would this be suitable from birth? Up to about what age?
Many thanks, just trying to establish how little equioment we can get away with without compromising safety.

Only until about 3 mos of age. After that, they can (and do) roll over. Just get a pack ‘n play and it easily fits in the back of a closet.

Quinny Pushchair/Pram?

Question by JS: Quinny Pushchair/Pram?
Hi!
I’m just bought a Quinny Fashion 3-wheel pushchair second hand and though I have worked out how to do everything, I need to know how and where I can get the carrycot which fits onto the chassis. I’ve looked this pushchair up online however all the sites are in a language I do not understand. Please help.
It’s not on the Quinny UK website. It’s actually called a Quinny Fashion. It has three all-terrain wheels (which can deflate) and the front wheel is fixed. The single handle-bar can change position and has a break on it as well as the break by the wheels. The seat unit lays completely flat and the footrest (which is fixed to the seat unit) changes position. The seat unit is reversible for face-to-face contact in early years.

I’m not sure if it is the same however I have a Quinny Buzz. I bought a ‘Dreami’ carry cot. You also need two brackets that come with it, these same brackets also enable you to attach a maxi cosi car seat to the chassis…(very handy for quick trips from the car with a sleeping baby)
I got mine from ‘www.2 left feet.co.uk’ if you choose ’shop by brand’ you will get all of the quinny things…they were quite good on the phone so should be able to tell you if the dreami will fit. Even if you are not in the UK the website may be worth a look so you know what you are looking for.
