Q&A: Help with Quinny Speedi pram?

Question by lilbabyadam: Help with Quinny Speedi pram?
We have bought a Quinny Speedi SX with a Dreami carrycot, however I’m pretty sure it’s going to be too big to go on public transport so I’m a bit worried. I don’t like the whole new thing of clipping car seats to frames, it’s bad for baby’s to be sat up all the time, they need to lie flat, so this is why I have the carrycot not the car seat. Plus, it’s important to buy a car seat that actually fits safely in your car, not just your pram.
So, has someone actually taken their Quinny Speedi SX on a bus, with either the carrycot or pushchair part attached to it?
Thanks for that! I was goin to get bugaboo or quinny buzz however my friends child grew out of buzz at 18 month cos of moulded seat and my OH refused to spend a lot of money on something that might get grown out of, bless him.

Well, I have the bee (Bugaboo) and I got it specifically because I live in nyc and could not handle the thought of carting around a big bulky stroller ( i was initially going to get the stokke). But I have seen plenty of women on the subways and buses with both the carrycot & the pushchair (for the Quinny Speedi) and they seem to get along just fine. I think as you get comfortable with the pram, they are easier to maneuver. Good luck
EDIT: lol, i know how that is, especially with the big ticket items. you definately want them to last as long as possible

Q&A: Which Quinny pram/stroller is this?

Question by Jon Cope: Which Quinny pram/stroller is this?
Can you help me identify this product? It does not seem to be a current model. A Quinny stroller that looks a bit like an old-fashion pram (albeit in the modern Quinny style). Four large-ish wheels, one at each ‘corner’ – i.e. not in the typical Quinny pattern. Also looked like the back wheels pivoted independently of the front wheels when turning a corner.
Yes, it similar-looking to the first of these however the back two wheels seemed to be able to pivot on a central spindle.

Quinny Fashion Pram and Accessories?

Question by Jess: Quinny Fashion Pram and Accessories?
I have a 3 wheel Quinny Fashion pram with just the seat unit. I bought it from a charity shop however Quinny have discontinued this model so I cannot get the car seat or carrycot straight from them. I have checked eBay however have only found seat units and other prams like mine with just the seat unit.
One eBay seller stated in her sale of a 4 wheel version that she/he has adapters which allow the current MaxiCosi car seat and Dreami carrycot to fit the chassis of the Fashion.
Can someone help me get the car seat and carrycot or adaptors as we are trying for another baby and don’t really wanna get rid of this pram or buy a new one and I would really like the carrycot and car seat for it.

Answer by Baby Jude’s mummy!!!
I have a Quinny, my friend has a Bugaboo. I like my Quinny however I would go for the Bugaboo if I were you. It has better features than the Quinny (better shopping basket, better canopy, foam filled tyres that don’t get punctures – I have had punctures with my Quinny and it’s ANNOYING! Also the Bugaboo has more than 2 reclining positions when in parent-facing mode which becomes important when you want your little one to be facing you however your little one does not want to do it in a semi-lying position!). It’s a bit extra however I would say it was worth it. They are much the same size when up however I know the Quinny folds up really compact and will fit in a small car boot if space is an issue.

Question by Elle: Any opinions on the Quinny prams (the buzz 4 wheeler)? ?
Hi
I’d like to know if they are lightweight and when u put it in the car is it a very fussy pram or bulky?
I have always liked the more traditional styles however i think they are more footery and i will be taking the little one out and about alot in the car so dont want a pram which is a huge hassle.
Thankyou all xxxx
